Marilyn McPheron, Study Abroad Coordinator
Marilyn McPheron joined the Office of International Programs as an administrative assistant in January 2001 and now assumes the responsibilities of study abroad coordinator. Marilyn traveled to Russia and Ukraine to develop student exchange programs and received a lot of impressions (read her article).
Four years of volunteer work with International Spouses via the International Hospitality Council (IHC), a nonprofit organization associated with Penn State, led to Marilyn serving as director of IHC for four years. Prior to that, she had ten years of experience in various academic support positions at the University of Illinois. She has had a lifelong interest in international issues, primarily due to a very good fourth grade geography teacher!
