Tom Gill
Tom joined the Office of International Programs in May 2009 as Project Associate. His role is principally concerned with developing and coordinating agriculture projects in Eastern and Southern Africa focused on plant adaptation to drought and low soil fertility. Tom is currently finishing up his Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Ecology at the University of Florida. He was born in England but has lived and worked for most of the past decade in the U.S., Uganda and Kenya. Tom and his wife Betsy will be moving to State College in August with their newborn daughter. His other interests include soccer (or football as they call it in England), playing the piano and gardening.
